March 1st 2018
Ladybird Trail The 275 was out on Ladybird last night getting a head start on packing before all the bump builders showed up. The cat went up to 19 km on Norns Creek with the tiller working hard to settle the powder down. At the turnaround there was 43 cm of fresh and it was snowing at the time of probe. March 1 st 2018 Goose Creek Trail We were not sure whether we should just take the cat up or try pull the drag as far as we could. We went with our second choice and managed to pull to 9 km with the use of the pan under our wheels. Unless temps drop the bottom of the hill is not going to stand up so please go easy on it especially coming out of the corners. The snow was very wet till about 4 km then at about six we started having to slow right down, probed 40 cm on the trail at 6 km, 45 cm at the Shaw cabin and 75 cm up top. Managed to get the drag to 9 km, thanks again to all of you that help pack new snow with your sleds as it help us out huge. Up top the base is up to 332 cm with nice powder at about 7 km. Have a good weekend. Check out the Avy report Thanks again to Chris at Dirty Diggers for the use on his equipment to try get the water diverted from our upper parking lot on Goose.
