We would like to extend a thank you to those who made donations to help in moving the cat and preparing for its arrival to its new home. Kootenay Containers, for allowing us the space needed to offload the cat onto smaller trucks so we could assemble it up at our shop on Goose Creek. Martech Electric, for unloading the machine and it’s pieces onto smaller vehicles. Markin Investments for helping with organizing the move and washing the machine down after its trip from Calgary. Dirty Diggers for sanding the road up to our shop that day so that things were safely transported. Thank you to all of you and of course a big thanks to those that came out to help put things together. Stay tuned for a thank you to all of those who contributed towards the purchase of the machine. - for those of you unloading in the lower parking lot on goose, please use the left side trail heading up the hill to the main trail head, as snowmobile‘s travelling on the roadway contribute to making the road very icy. Ladybird Jan 19, 2022 Norns Creek trail- groomed to 19 km cat turnaround Goose Creek Jan 19th, 2022 Airport trail- groomed Frosty trail- groomed Probed 238 cm at the airport Snowpack has settled with no crust up top Comments- With cooler temps it was time for the maiden voyage on the Goose Creek trail for our newly purchased BR 350. The trails had held up nicely since the last groom so we were able to concentrate on widening to accommodate the much wider snowcat. Thank you to all who helped make this project a huge success. So as not to forget anyone we will be doing a proper thank you to everyone in the near future. Be sure to check the avy report if your heading out to the backcountry. With all trails reported to be in good condition we have decided to keep the cats off the trails in hopes of cooler temps soon. With the hard rain at lower elevations the snow contions are not favorable for grooming. Up to 1600 m more harm than good to be done with trying to groom wet sticky snow. Reports of 30cm up top with a 1cm crust at the Frosty cabin elevation.
Be safe out there.
