Goose Creek Trail Feb 27th 2020

Trail groomed to the airport with the drag, all went well. We probed 280 cms again at the airport and 25cms of fresh since last week. The snow was dry just after 6km with nice powder after about 10km.
A new stove was dropped off at the Frosty cabin to be installed soon. Firewood dropped off at both cabins as well. 

Ladybird Trail Feb 27th 2020

Trail groomed to 19km cat turnaround on Norns all went well with only one tree needing removal from trail.

Goose Creek Trail Feb 20 2020

Trail groomed to the airport with the drag all went well. The Frosty trail was also groomed with the drag for the first time on record.
On the lower South facing aspects there was snow melt and freezing around trees. On the first couple km from the parking lot  there was some melting of trail creating a few hazards that needed repair. Please use caution as warm daytime temps make things change quickly. 
Up top there was 270cms of base and 30cms of fresh since our last groom. 

Ladybird Trail Feb 21st 2020

Trail groomed to the cat turn at 19km Norns Creek.

 Also please be aware on Ladybird road that if you use a trailer you may need to chain up at times. Best is to have others without a trailer let you know how things are before heading up as its difficult to turn around. It was sanded today but at this time of year with melting daytime temps the road may get icy.

Ladybird trail Feb 11 th 2020

Trail groomed to 19 Km cat turnaround on Norns Creek. Trail was in good shape with cooler temps helping it hold together. Several danger trees removed from just off the trail. At 19 we probed 240cm and there was 10 cms of fresh on top of several crust layers. At the cat turnaround wind was very strong so watch for heavy loading on some slopes. 
 
Hope to see you all at our family day event being held up at the Shaw cabin on Saturday feb 15 th at 11am. Come on up and enjoy some fries and hot dogs. Goodie bags for the kids and all trail passes waived so you don’t have to be a member to enjoy and all are welcome.  Bring a sleigh for the kids to try the toboggan run, we will have some up there if you don’t have one but a few extra's never hurt. 

Goose Creek Trail Feb 7th 2020

Trail groomed to the airport with the drag all the way up. Heavy wind loaded trees as seen on the pic, so use caution. 
Thirty cms of fresh on top of last weeks groom with several crusts throughout the top 60 cms. 
The cat also pushed up passed Frosty cabin into Bankerts for the first time this season.
