Goose Creek Trail Dec 30th 2022

Trail groomed to Airport with the tiller for the first time this season. All went well, but still many hidden hazards under what seems to be an unstable snowpack. Very sticky and wet up to 3km but gets better with every change in elevation. 
Probed 170cm up top.
Frosty trail also groomed. 
Be sure to check avy conditions and know your suroundings.

Ladybird Trail Dec 26th 2022

Trail groomed to cat turnaround. One tree removed from trail. Raining up to the 19km turnaround.

Goose Creek Trail Dec 24th 2022

Late night groom up to the airport as the weather was looking to warm up. All went well with 32 cm of fresh up top since our last pull and a base 142cm. Still working on getting the trail wide enough for the tiller.

​Goose Creek Trail, December 21, 2022 
 After repairs were made to the pintle hitch on our Mogul Master drag it was time for another test run with the drag behind the BR 350. We picked up the drag at 6 km and pulled it up to the airport and back down to the shop.
 All went well with 132 cm probed at the airport and 15 cm of fresh on top of last weeks trail. 
 Frosty trail also track packed and bladed. 
 Thank you Jake Strelioff for taking care of our welding on the pintle hitch.  
 Thank you  Atco Wood Products for donating firewood for the Frosty cabin. 
Anyone out during this cold weather be sure to cover any exposed skin. as temps up top are dangerously cold.  

 Tip of the week- when heading up in cold temperatures stop at your nearest cabin and start that fire you never know when you need a warm place in an emergency. 

Check avalanche reports before heading out and have a great weekend.

Ladybird Trail Dec 14th 2022
Trail groomed to 19km cat turnaround. All went well with the probe showing 140cm. Snow is great just need more of it. 
 
A big thankyou to Sheshreds Mountain Adventures for the $200 dollar donation to the club. With fuel prices where they are, the money will help our grooming efforts. 
Also need to thank West K Concrete for donating gravel to fill our sand box located between the Goose Creek parking lots. There is a shovel inside, so feel free to throw some gravel on the hill if you have concerns about it being  to slippery.
