Goose Creek Trail Dec 11th 2022
Trail bladed and track packed to the Airport and the Frosty Cabin with the Br 350. Continued with early season trail building to the airport and filling more ditches. Trail was very rough so we decided to try pull the drag with the 350 but had trouble with pitle hitch length not allowing us to corner to well, so more mods needed. Still need more snow for tiller to be safe so will be using blade work and tracks for now. Probed 145cm up at the airport. Still lots of hazards around. Be sure to check the avy reports before heading out and be safe out there. Ladybird Trail Dec 6th 2022 First run up to remove several trees off of trail, fill ditches and track pack the trail to 19km cat turnaround. All went well with the Br-275, although we were unable to run the tiller for the entire trip as lack of snow can cause the tiller tines to contact rocks that can be very hard on equipment. We probed 92cm of dry unsettled powder at 19 km. Thankyou to those of you who spent some time removing some of the trees before we got there as it really does help us out. Goose Creek Dec 1st 2022 First run up Goose this season with the Br 180 and compactor bar. Removed several trees off the trail and started filling and leveling to the Shaw and Frosty Cabins. All went well with 115cm cm of dry powder at the cabins. Snowpack has not set up at all yet so lots of hazards still around. We were unable to go any further than the Shaw cabin as the Airport trail is a boulder mine field still. Thankyou Jay from Columbia Steel Ltd for the great CNC work on our new rear deck for the Br 350 and Brent Serbinin for fabing it all up. |
