Castlegar Snowmobile Association Update Sept 12/2018

The Pass Creek Fall Fair will be happening this year Sept 22 and 23rd. Dirty Diggers will be donating all the funds raised at their booth to the CSA. We will have a couple sleds there and be selling memberships, as well as helping out dirty diggers with providing fun things for kids. They have asked for a few volunteers to help with this if you are available for a four hour shift on either day just send an email to [email protected]

The clubs AGM will be held at the Complex, Kootenay Rm Sept 27th 2018 6:30 pm come out and get involved with the club. Share your thoughts or concerns to help steer the club in a direction that benefits members and the community we live in. 

A couple outstanding jobs that still need attention are some brushing on Goose Creek and some small construction jobs at the Frosty cabin. A new out house is needed as well as some railings built for the deck and staircase. If you would like to take these on please do as the shop has been taking up much of our volunteer hours.

Maintenance/Storage Facility project update

• Footings we constructed and inspected by Thurs Sept 6th. thanks to all the volunteers that made the Friday pour deadline possible. 
• Thank you Cana-Steel Re bar Services for the cutting and bending of all the steel for the project. 
• Thank you Taylor Menzies for doing all the labour involved with installing and tieing  the re bar.
• Friday Sept 7th the footings were poured all went well as we were able to put together a good bunch of volunteers to help and West K Concrete brought out their big conveyor truck to help reach those tough spots. 
• We are now prepping for forms to arrive hopefully this weekend so we can get them up and pour next week. Anyone want to help out with this send and email to the [email protected]
