Grooming report December 2, 2020 First trip up Goose Creek Trail with the with Br 180. With a few centimetres of fresh on the ground at the shop we decided it was time to get the cat up on the hill. Always nice to get out for the first one a little early just to get all the bugs worked out. We kept the wheels down on the drag up until 2.5k then we dropped the drag and were able to start grooming up until 9km. At that point the road needs a fair amount of work to make it safe as there are many ditches and creek crossings to be filled. We managed to get the cat to the Shaw Cabin but with only 74 cm of snow we were unable to go any further as beyond that the trail needs at a minimum 120 cm to cover the large boulders. Most sleds today unloaded in the parking lot but with warmer temps coming you may want to drive up a couple corners to avoid some of the rocks. The cat is parked up at 2.5km till more snow comes down low. Ladybird Trail The Br 275 is now over on Ladybird. Thankyou Western Auto Wreckers and Towing for the move again this season. As soon as we can confirm logging is complete we will pass it on to you. Until then remember a radio with RR 6 on it. The cat will head up as soon as there is enough snow on the road up from the parking lot at 3km. Please everyone remember to stay out of cabins unless you need to warm up or have some type of emergency. Best to stick on the trail as the snow is very thin out there. Remember to get yourself entered to win one of three great prizes, you need to sign up for earlybird membership. Have a good weekend. Comments are closed.
