Ladybird Trail Feb 27th 2019 With reports of the Cayuse trail being in rough shape (and yes it was)the 275 made its way up to 20 km on West Ladybird. Taking some extra fuel along for the trip, the 19 km Norns Creek trail was also groomed to the cat turnaround. Looking at the condition of Cayuse trail it would seem we are getting much more traffic in that direction when comparing to previous years. Although we can't groom it every week we will be paying more attention to it. That being said if you notice it getting bad just let us know by emailing [email protected] or on our face book page so we can plan on getting it fixed up. Goose Creek Trail Feb 28th 2019 With close to 30 cm on the groomed trail Saturday we were not sure if pulling the drag was the best idea or if we should have put the compactor on. As it turned out the drag was a good choice as sled traffic spread out on the trail and made for an easy pull to the airport. Thanks to all of you as you make the trails stand up much longer by getting the air out of the snow before the drag gets to it. We probed 35 cm since last weeks groom with the base holding at 235 cm. On the trail today when turning around up top there was 12 cm of fresh and snowing lightly. Frosty trail was also track packed and wood hauled to both cabins as well. Tip of the week. Get out and enjoy the best snow of the year. Be sure to check the Avy report and the weather forecast before every ride. Have a great weekend. Comments are closed.
