Jan 11th,Grooming on Goose Creek this week was more like logging on Goose. We had so many trees to clear from the trail we lost track. After hearing about lots of fresh and several trees we opted to leave the drag and track pack. The trip went well but was a long one due to the tree removal. Thanks to everyone that helped out by making trails around some of the trees and clearing what they could.
We filled in more of the open ditches up around 9 km, packed Frosty trail and the airport trail. The trail was in good shape due to everyone spreading out and using all of it, thanks for that. We probed 60 cm of fresh on the trail since last weeks groom and a base of 204 cm up at the airport. The snow has dried out very nice from 5 km to the top. Jan 12th, Ladybird was groomed to the 19 km turnaround with the tiller. Many trees were also down and had to be removed on that trail. At the cat turnaround there was 55 cm of fresh and 165 cm of base. Please check out the avalanche center as conditions are very high. Have a great weekend and stay safe. Comments are closed.
