Ladybird Trail
March 15th 2018 Ladybird to the 19 km cat turnaround groomed with the 275 all went well. At the cat turnaround there was 3 cm of fresh on a crust below. Goose Creek Trail March 15th 2018 On Goose Creek we had corn snow for the first 3 km then sticky heavy snow till about 7 km, after that it changed to decent packed powder all the way up to the airport. The drag worked well considering the conditions were not the best. The Frosty trail was also groomed. At the top there was 6 cm of fresh on the trail and the base has settled to 300 cm. The trails are in great shape for this time of year. With that said please be aware of melting areas on the lower sections. So far just the 2 km switchback is showing some signs of weakness due to sun exposure. If you see anything unsafe please try to make it safe or send us and email so we can do our best to make it safe. With the settling snow pack its a great time to get out and enjoy the mountains. Take out a new to the area rider and show him/her the area to help keep them safe. Its a great time to get some important coordinates on a GPS if you have one or just buy the Never Lost app and load the trails on your phone as most newer phones have GPS capability. Enjoy the weekend , check the avalanche report before you head out. Comments are closed.
