![]() Lady Bird Trail March 18, 2021 Lady Bird Trail groomed to 19 km cat turn around. Spring like conditions with no fresh since our last groom. Parking lot is muddy but no dirt on the trail yet. Goose Creek Trail March 18, 2021 With another warm week and no fresh snow we had to make a decision on whether to move the cat and drag up the trail for a couple more grooms. We decided to have a look at trail condition so we went as far as 4 km where we decided to turn around and park down at 2km because the trail was in great shape still. Several dirt patches have opened up now so parking with trailers will be tough. As road conditions change daily from here on in it is hard to say where to park, but if you see a snow cat parked it will generally mean don’t try to go past it or you risk getting stuck. From where the cat is parked now there is one dirt section approximately 30 m long but no where to park or turnaround after it, so best to play it safe and park below 2 km or ride Lady Bird Trail until the lower sections of the Goose Creek Trail melt off. Again another big shout out to SIMM Excavating and Snow Removal for helping us with that $500 dollar fuel donation. Remember every dollar saved throughout the season is another dollar that goes into the club for upgrades. Our next goal is upgrading the Br-180 to a larger machine. Have a good weekend and be safe out there. Comments are closed.
