Ladybird Trail March 21st 2019
Trail groomed to 19 km cat turnaround on Norns Creek. All went well with the snow pack taking quit a hit with the recent heat wave. No dirt patches yet. Goose Creek Trail March 21st 2019 After pulling the drag up to 5 km (old sawmill site) we made the decision not continue with the groom as the trail was in excellent shape and to keep going was probably going to do more harm then good. Pulling the drag in warm temps does work pretty good but the snow has not quit changed enough to where it will flow out the back of the drag. The drag is up at 5 km and the cat is parked at 1.5 km to see if we can save the snow down below as the cat does cause the trail to melt quicker in this kind of heat. Some dirt patches but very minimal, so we should get one more weekend in the parking lot maybe even two if it cools down. Tip of the week: The snow pack is like mash potatoes be cautious as we did not have the usual settling throughout the last couple months. Check the Avy reports and be safe out there.
