Lady Bird Trail February 28, 2021 Trail groomed to 19 km on Norns Creek, no fresh snow since our last groom and we probed 255 cm of base at cat turn around . At approximately 9 km on the trail another small hydraulic line decided to call it a season so from there on we had to lift up the tiller and just run the blade to the cat turn around. Lady Bird Trail, March 4, 2021 After repairs were completed on the Tiller hydraulic line it was decided to push back into East Lady Bird up to 21km then up to West Ladybird for a few kilometres, all went well. Please note with temperature changes the mountains will become somewhat unpredictable depending on solar radiation and many other factors, spring seems to be arriving early. Goose Creek Trail March 5, 2021 With reports of the trail holding together quite nicely we will be holding off on grooming as the bottom of the trail does not have much snow on it. When temperatures warm up this much the best thing we can do to save our trail is to not breakthrough the frozen base if it is not required. We will be grooming Goose on a need to groom basis until temperatures drop hopefully next week. Thank you Arnold contracting for lending a large generator and Cims for helping with the blade repair on the BR 180. Tip of the week- please respect the neighbourhoods located close to our trail heads, by driving slowly and not parking where are you will hinder driveway access. Be sure to check the avalanche report and have a good weekend Comments are closed.
