Ladybird Trail
March 8th 2018 Ladybird trail was groomed to the 19 km cat turnaround. All went well with 37 cm of fresh at the turnaround. The snow was wet and heavy below 10 km. Goose Creek trail March 8th 2018 This time of year we never really know what to expect, as temps affect how well the trail held up from the previous groom and ultimately how well it will groom out. The first 5 km the snow was very wet, but at least it was snow and not rain. At 5 km the snow was much more manageable and we were able to pull the drag right up to the Shaw Cabin. Dropped off another 40 rounds of wood and the drag then headed for the airport. At the top we probed 40 cm of fresh and a base of 340 cm. Very windy and snowing hard at the turnaround. Expect some of the best snow above 5500 ft as the warm weather is on its way. The Frosty trail was also packed and bladed. Check the avalanche report and have a great weekend. Comments are closed.
